A manifesto is a published declaration of the intentions, motives, or views of the issuer. The Japan Manifesto exists to give me something to look back on when I'm in Japan, especially if I need encouragement. Hopefully, the following things will make me a better traveler and human being.
I've mentioned before that learning Japanese has opened new doors for me in a lot of different ways, including introducing me to new and incredible people. Recently, I met one of the girls who's also studying abroad with me in Japan!

I turned 20 yesterday! It's a strange feeling to turn twenty. I'm entering a new decade! I'm a "twenty-something" now, and I'm joining those people that always talk about feeling "lost" and unsure of themselves. I'd like to think I have at least some things figured out, but I know better than to think that's completely true.
